"Modern Warfare RE" is bombarded with bad reviews: Multiplayer Mod banned

Recently, Activision issued a ban, requiring the multiplayer H2M team of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remake to immediately terminate the project.

H2M, an unofficial mod designed to recreate the classic Call of Duty gameplay for players, was made for free by a group of volunteer developers. It is reported that the mod has generated thousands of sales for Activision over the past year, but the team has not profited from it.

The news sparked a backlash among fans of Call of Duty, many of whom flocked to the game's Steam page to protest Activision's practices with negative reviews. They said they bought the game specifically to experience the H2M module. So far, the game has received a barrage of negative reviews on Steam, with a positive rating of only 5%.

Activision has yet to issue an official comment on the matter, but the incident has also sparked discussions among players about intellectual property and community modules. Some players believe Activision's approach is too harsh and stifles players' creativity.

It is worth mentioning that H2M is only an unofficial mod, and Activision has the right to take action against it. However, player dissatisfaction also shows that community mods play an important role in the game. They can not only extend the life of the game, but also provide players with new experiences and fun.

Striking a balance between intellectual property protection and community creativity is always a challenge. Hopefully, Activision can find a way to respect intellectual property while also supporting players' innovation and passion.
